1 Bold Decision That Lucknow Super Giants should take against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the next game

Lucknow Super Giants are now playing without their regular skipper KL Rahul who was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to an injury. KL Rahul himself confirmed that he will undergo thigh surgery in the coming days.

He will be focusing on rehabilitation and recovery process in the coming weeks. Krunal Pandya took charge as the captain in KL Rahul’s absence for the remainder of this season. Under his captaincy, LSG are yet to win a game this season.

He led the team against CSK which ended in the form of a no-result as rain interrupted the passage of play, thus both teams took a piece each. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya’s LSG locked horns with Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

They hardly made their presence count during the game as they failed in the bowling and batting unit respectively. Gujarat Titans posted a colossal total of 227/2 in their quota of 20 overs, courtesy of Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 94 and Wriddhiman Saha’s 81.

In response, Lucknow Super Giants showed a lot of intent in the run-chase. LSG’s opening pair – Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock inflicted a lot of damage on GT’s bowlers in the first 10 overs. LSG were the favourites to win the game when they were at 102/1 in 10 overs.

1 Bold Decision That LSG should take against SRH in the next game

However, as the game progressed, LSG slowed things down to a massive extent, courtesy of disciplinary bowling performances from Gujarat Titans. LSG went on to lose the match by 56 runs.

LSG will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the next game at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 13, Saturday. LSG should promote either Marcus Stoinis or Nicholas Pooran to bat at No.3 instead of Deepak Hooda.

For the record, Hooda looked uncomfortable on a batting wicket against Gujarat Titans. In a run-chase against GT when the team expected to score runs at a rapid pace, he slowed things down a bit by scoring 11 off 11 balls.
