2 Indian openers who have taken more fifers than Shane Warne in ODIs

Australian legend Shane Warne weaved the magic with the ball during the playing days of his cricketing career. Australia largely benefitted from his services in both Tests and One-Day Internationals.

Shane Warne is the second-leading wicket-taker in Test cricket with 708 wickets to his name including 10 ten-wicket hauls, 37 five-wicket hauls and 48 four-wicket hauls.

Notably, he has been a handy tail-ender for Australia, scoring 12 half-centuries to his name, registering his personal best score of 99. He also has one half-century in the 50-over format.

Although Shane Warne dominated the longest format of the game, he didn’t quite dominate the proceedings in ODIs. Shane Warne has taken 293 wickets in ODIs including 1 five-wicket haul. 2. Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly was one of the greatest captains in the history of Indian cricket. Apart from his batting prowess, he was also a pretty decent bowler and has taken as many as 100 wickets to his name in One-Day Internationals. The former Indian opener has more fifers than Shane Warne in the 50-over format.

Sourav Ganguly has taken two fifers to his name in ODIs, registering his personal best bowling figures of 5/16. Ganguly scored 7212 runs in Tests including 1 double century, 16 centuries and 35 fifties. On the other hand, he scored 11,363 runs in ODIs including 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries.
