'£20M Move On The Cards'-Southampton Wants To Sign The Liverpool Star In The Summer

Southampton is getting ready to make a bid of around £20 million for Liverpool star Neco Williams. They want to sign him before other Premier League clubs do.

Many teams have been interested in the Welshman, and it looked like he was going to move to the newly promoted Nottingham Forest. However, the move fell through quickly because Liverpool and Nottingham Forest couldn’t agree on a fee.

The Football Insider says that sources at Southampton say the club wants to win the race for the Welsh right back and is putting together a formal offer.

Fulham, who had him on loan last season and saw how well he did there, is also in the running to sign him. He helped the West London team cruise to promotion during his time there.

So far, only Nottingham Forest has made an official bid. Their offer of £12 million for Williams was immediately turned down, and it is thought that the clubs are having trouble agreeing.

Will Williams move out of Liverpool?

Williams has a lot of talent, and at age 21, he has already played for his country more than 20 times.

But if he wants to make sure he’s in the Wales team for the 2022 World Cup, he may have to move to play more first-team football.

The 21-year-old may not get to play much at Anfield because he is already behind Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has become one of the best players in the world at that position over the last few years.

The club just brought in Calvin Ramsay, which is likely to reduce Williams’ playing time even more.

There is no doubt that the Welshman won’t be back at Anfield next season. His next club is still unknown, but if the Merseyside Club is happy with Southampton’s offer, Williams could play for the south-coast club next season.
