Pakistan are locking horns with New Zealand in the second of the three-match ODI series at the National Stadium in Karachi. Earlier, the Green Shirts drew first blood in the series by beating the Black Caps by six wickets in the ODI series opener.

Talking about the second ODI, New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat first. The visitors were bowled out for 261 runs. Devon Conway top-scored with 101 runs off 92 balls including 13 fours and a six at a strike rate of 109.78.

On the other hand, skipper Kane Williamson looked good for his 85 runs including 10 boundaries. Mitchell Santner played pretty well down the order as he contributed 37 runs to his name. In the end, New Zealand posted a decent total on the board.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Wasim Jr had a bad day at the office during the second ODI against New Zealand. Apart from going wicketless throughout the innings, conceding 46 runs in seven overs, he also accidentally hurt Aleen Dar’s ankle with his throw.

Soon after that, Aleem Dar was seen wincing in pain as he even threw the Pakistan jersey on the ground. The video clip of Aleem Dar taking a blow to his ankle has gone viral on the internet. As far as Pakistan’s bowling attack is concerned, Mohammad Nawaz was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged 4 wickets to his name.

Naseem Shah looked good as well as he took three wickets to his name. Pakistan lost their opening pair – Fakhar Zaman (0) and Imam-ul-Haq for cheap scores (6). Babar Azam is batting on 38 runs at the time of writing this article.

Earlier, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan 28 runs off 50 balls before being dismissed by Mitchell Santner. Pakistan are in all sorts of trouble as they lost three wickets while also slowing down their scoring rate as they scored 83/3 in 25 overs.
