Cadiz Wants To Sign A Tottenham Youth Player In The Summer Transfer Window

As a result of Cadiz’s interest in the Spanish youth player, Tottenham will need to choose Bryan Gill’s future with the club

As reported by Diario de Cadiz, Bryan Gil is reportedly on Cadiz’s radar as the Spanish minnows consider making an offer for the kid. The attacking player will remain under contract with Tottenham for the next four years, despite the possibility that Antonio Conte may not use him.

Last summer, Tottenham made the move to acquire Bryan Gil from Sevilla. As part of the transaction, they paid €25 million, and Erik Lamela was sent in the other direction. After making his debut in his home country of Spain, the young Spanish player was widely considered to have tremendous potential, and many people believed that Spurs might have made a spectacular acquisition by signing him.

However, things have not gone according to plan for Bryan Gil in north London, as he has only made nine appearances for Tottenham, and all of those appearances have been off the bench. The Italian manager, Antonio Conte, who took over for Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach, did not bank on the 21-year-old at all after taking over, which is what led to the winger signing a loan deal with Valencia in the month of January.

The choice made by Tottenham to loan Bryan Gil to Valencia was the right one, as the youngster was able to get regular playing time in La Liga as a result of the move. During this time, Conte guided the squad to a top-four finish, fending off the challenge from their rivals from north London, Arsenal.

Before the start of the pre-season training, Gil is scheduled to report for duty with Tottenham. And Conte might look into the possibility of keeping him around, but the impending purchase of Richarlison from Everton may indicate that another option is more likely to be pursued. Gil, who is just 21 years old, might make the team even though Steven Bergwijn is likely going to go as well, but it is not anticipated that the young player would play often.

In light of this, Tottenham has to make a significant choice this summer about the future of the Spanish international player. Valencia had considered making a permanent move for Bryan Gil, but the parameters of the transfer may not have been in their favor financially.

Cadiz are interested in the wide attacker, and the club is mulling over whether or not to make an offer to sign him. On the other hand, Tottenham’s financial demands might put an end to any possibility of a permanent transfer. Yet, the La Liga minnows could entertain a loan move if the circumstances are favorable.

Cadiz has high aspirations of moving up the league standings and is now searching for players that might improve the overall caliber of their roster. Given that the 21-year-old Bryan Gil already has playing experience in La Liga and has the potential to provide their assault with some much-needed bite, a loan transfer for Gil makes perfect sense.

Tottenham will make the ultimate choice over what will happen with the player, who is now 21 years old. If Conte determines that there is not enough room for Gil in his team, the club may try to sell him. However, taking into account the investment that they put in him during the previous summer and the potential that the Spaniard has with him, a loan transfer may be the best choice for everyone concerned in the situation.
