Channel Eye is for Sri Lanka’s youngsters and it is a sports channel handled by Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. It is broadcasted in all areas of Sri Lanka. It started its telecast in April 1999 as Rupavahini 2. Later in August 2000, it became Channel Eye. An Eye coming from three pillars is Education, Youth, and Entertainment. The channel states a wide range of original productions and sporting events. During the first years of Channel Eye, it broadcasted documentaries on Discovery Channel. Till 2008, Tamil programs were telecasted in Channel Eye brand, which ultimately gave way to Nethra TV. The channel telecast lives in Sinhala and English Languages.
Channel Eye Live Streaming
Channel Eye also telecast sports programs mainly international and local both for cricket and local motor car racing. It has also become the official broadcasting channel for Cricket World Cup tournaments in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015. Channel also broadcasted the ICC World Twenty20 tournament in 2007, 2009, and 2010. Apart from cricket, it also telecasted the Rugby World Cup tournament.
It is the official broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup in 2010, 2014, and 2018 for Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka T20 Provincial League.
