Many top European teams have taken notice of him thanks to his spectacular performances. The Blues are taking steps now to guarantee that the Nigerian international is a member of their team next season. It is expected that the 24-year-old will join the team at Stamford Bridge before the next season begins. The Serie A team signed Osimhen away from LOSC Lille in the summer of 2020. While he’s been a part of the team, he’s flourished. The Nigerian striker has played in 90 games and has contributed to 65 goals.
This season, the 24-year-old striker has been a monster in Serie A. With 19 goals, he has a commanding lead in the hunt for the Serie A Golden Boot. Osimhen has contributed to 28 goals in 28 games this year across all competitions, with 23 of those goals coming directly from his own foot. As a result of his recent hot streak in front of goal, several teams have shown interest in signing him. While Osimhen’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025, he is expected to depart the team the next summer for a substantial fee.
