Former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli started the ongoing IPL campaign on a positive note as he scored a match-winning unbeaten 82 off 49 balls against Mumbai Indians at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli drew plaudits for beautifully constructing the innings against the five-time IPL champions. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a humongous total of 204 for the loss of seven wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 57 off 44 balls whereas the likes of Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh scored 68 off 29 and 46 off 33 respectively.

Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh changed the shape of the game by adding a wonderful 103-run partnership for the sixth wicket. On the other hand, David Willey was the pick of the bowlers for KKR as he registered 2/16 in four overs while also bowling a maiden over.

During RCB’s innings, Sunil Narine pulled a trick off his sleeve to get rid of the former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper. The senior cricketer tried to play a shot between mid-on and square leg.

As it turned out, he ended up misjudging it completely. Sunil Narine’s gem of a delivery did all the talking as it went on make a mess of Virat Kohli’s stumps at the best scene.

Virat Kohli was totally taken aback by Sunil Narine’s delivery as the former RCB skipper departed for 21 off 18 balls.
