“David Warner has overcome everything” – Twitter reacts to David Warner double century in 100th test

'I will just accept whatever decision comes'-David Warner finally opens up on his leadership ban

David Warner scored a double century in his 100th test match on day 2 of the second test match between South Africa and Australia. Warner broke all sorts of records set in a 100th test match before retiring at 200. Australia had made a shaky start with two wickets gone after putting 75 runs on board, but Warner and Steve Smith steadied the ship by putting on a 239-run partnership.

Warner’s status within the test side had also been questioned in recent weeks by pundits and fans. This was a fine way for him to silence his critics. Warner hit 16 fours and two sixes en route to the double hundred, and Twitter was full of praise for his battling display. The South African bowling line-up is one of the best in test cricket, which made this display even more remarkable. It was also a celebration of one of the finest batters of his generation.

Warner was exhausted once he got to 200 and one Twitter account compared his physical state to that of a boxer.
