Chennai Super Kings are crossing swords with Rajasthan Royals in the 37th match of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The blockbuster fixture is currently being held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to open the face of the blade first. Sanju Samson and Co were quite ruthless in their batting approach against the CSK bowlers. They played with a lot of intent and reaped rewards when it mattered the most.

The Royals who are playing at their den scored a massive total of 202 for the loss of five wickets in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the best performing batter for the Royals as he chipped in with 77 off 43 balls.

He constructed his innings with the help of eight fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 179.07. Dhruv Jurel scored 34 off 15 balls where he smacked as many as three fours and two hits over the fence.

During the run-chase against Rajasthan Royals, the CSK openers failed to produce a spark inside the powerplay overs, courtesy of a disciplinary bowling performance from the Rajasthan Royals’ spinners who kept the CSK batters in check more often than not.

They well and truly disrupted CSK’s momentum by bowling too many dot balls. In the run-chase, Ambati Rayudu came in as an Impact Player for CSK but failed to make an impact as he was dismissed for a two-ball duck as he fell prey to Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling.
