'Direct Contact With Chelsea'-AC Milan Is In Constant Talk With Chelsea To Sign Hakim Ziyech

Reports say that Serie A champions AC Milan are getting more and more certain that they will sign Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech this summer

Hakim Ziyech’s time at Stamford Bridge seems to be coming to an end, as he has been told he can leave. Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, says that the Serie A giants have been in direct contact with Chelsea since last week about signing Ziyech and working out good terms for the Moroccan playmaker.

Romano also said that the Serie A champions are now sure that they will bring the 29-year-old, who may now be available on a loan-to-buy basis, to San Siro during this transfer window.

The Morocco international moved to Chelsea from Ajax for about £36 million in 2020, but he has mostly struggled since then under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel. In his two years with Chelsea, Ziyech hasn’t quite been at his best.

His case hasn’t been helped by injuries, but he was also constantly in and out of Chelsea’s starting lineup. He only made 15 Premier League starts in his first season and 14 in the season before that. In the Premier League, he scored six goals and set up six others for the Blues.

Ziyech had a slightly better season last year. He played in 44 games across all competitions and scored eight goals and set up six others. Still, the west Londoners were hoping for a better return over the course of his stay. Since he is not in Thomas Tuchel’s long-term plans, they are willing to let him leave this summer if a deal can be made.

Stefano Pioli, the coach of AC Milan, has put the Chelsea player at the top of his list of attacking targets for the summer. The big names in Serie A have had important talks with the Blues about how to make the deal work, and they are now ready to make a loan offer.

Pioli is looking for a player who can play both as the No. 10 and as the right-winger in the attacking trio. This will make up for Milan’s lack of quality in these positions last season. Many players have been linked to the Rossoneri for this reason, but Ziyech seems to be the most likely target.

Ziyech is a very skilled and versatile attacker, whose left foot is like a magic wand. Even though his style of play didn’t work well in the Premier League, he still showed flashes of brilliance at key times and could be a big hit at San Siro.

This summer, one of Chelsea’s main goals is to sign wingers who can score goals. Several players, like Raheem Sterling, Ousmane Dembele, and Raphinha, have been linked to them. Ziyech’s sale could help pay for these deals, and since the player wants to leave for better chances in the first team, it makes sense for the Blues to get rid of the former Ajax player.
