“Even ICC chose Brook over Gill” – Twitter reacts after Harry Brook won the ICC Men’s Player Of The Month Award for February

Harry Brook is one of the players in the modern era who has been constantly making waves by putting up exceptional batting performances for the England national cricket team.

The young cricketer is considered the next big thing in England cricket. Ever since he made his international debut for England in January 2022, he grabbed the opportunity in both hands by scoring runs for the team consistently.

Although he is yet to make a mark in ODI cricket as he played only three games, his Test career took off on a grand note. Having played six games, Harry Brook aggregated 809 runs at a spectacular batting average of 80.9.

Harry Brook won the ICC Men’s Player Of The Month Award for February

Harry Brook registered his individual best Test score of 186 against the New Zealand cricket team. Prodigious talent also etched his name into the record books after he broke the 30-year-old record for the most runs in the first nine Test innings.

Vinod Kamble scored 798 runs in the first nine Test innings, a record which remained intact for 30 years before England international Harry Brook went on to break this record during a Test against the New Zealand cricket team recently.

Meanwhile, Harry Brook made the headlines after he won the ICC Men’s Player of the Match award for February. He bagged the honour for his contribution to the national cricket team in the longest format of the game.

Harry Brook drew plaudits for his bazball approach in the Test series against New Zealand recently. It is worth mentioning that he finished the Test series as the leading run-scorer. He aggregated 329 runs at a splendid batting average of 82.25 and a strike rate of 110.40.

For the record, Harry Brook won the award earlier in December last year too. The youngster took pride in the fact that he bagged the award for the second time.
