“Finally a Tendulkar has a wicket in IPL” – Twitter reacts after Sachin Tendulkar reacts to Arjun Tendulkar’s maiden IPL wicket

Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai recently. The youngster had to wait for three seasons for this special moment. He ended up on the winning side on his IPL debut.

His debut didn’t turn out well for him as he went wicketless, giving away 17 runs in two overs. However, he upped his ante and bowled to the fullest while locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Arjun Tendulkar channelized his inner energy to keep the SRH batsmen silent in the last over of the run-chase. Sunrisers Hyderabad were mathematically in the game when they required 20 runs off the last over.

Although it was mathematically possible, in reality, it was a bit tough considering that Sunrisers Hyderabad already lost too many wickets. They were hoping for a better finish with Abdul Samad and Bhuvneshwar Kumar on strike.

As it turned out, Rohit Sharma, interestingly, gave the ball to Arjun Tendulkar to deliver the final over. Arjun Tendulkar accepted the challenge and sprung in with immaculate yorkers to the batters in the last over.

Arjun Tendulkar was under surreal pressure since he lacks the experience to bowl at the death. Needless to say, he held his nerves and brought the best out of himself in the final over and conceded only five runs.

Besides that, he went on to take his maiden IPL wicket by getting rid of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t be any happier upon seeing his son take his first IPL wicket. Sachin Tendulkar, during his heydays in IPL, didn’t take a wicket.

However, he is now happy that his son took a wicket in the IPL. It was a proud moment for Sachin Tendulkar and his family as he said, “at least there’s a wicket now in our family”.
