Chennai Super Kings captain, MS Dhoni is the second-most successful IPL captain in terms of titles won in India’s premier T20 competition. MS Dhoni turned CSK into a formidable force to be reckoned with in the IPL.

Chennai Super Kings have won as many as four IPL titles so far in their journey. They are the only team to beat four different opponents in the final to win four IPL trophies in the competition.

Besides that, Chennai Super Kings are the only team that made it to the finals nine times, which is the most by any team in the competition. CSK have reached the playoffs eleven times, which is the most by any team.

However, CSK ran through a major mishap in the last season where they ended up finishing ninth on the table. The four-time IPL champions could win only four games and lost the rest of the ten games in the competition.

Meanwhile, former Royal Challengers Bangalore cricketer, AB de Villiers reserved the highest respect for Chennai Super Kings’ captain, MS Dhoni while speaking to JioCinema. AB de Villiers labelled MS Dhoni the “GOAT” of the Indian Premier League.

MS Dhoni’s contribution to the Indian Premier League shall never be forgotten. He not only thrived as a captain but has also scored important runs and played several impactful innings for CSK when it mattered the most.

MS Dhoni has played as many as 238 games in the IPL wherein he scored 5036 runs at an average of 39.34 including 24 half-centuries to his name. Moreover, he has maintained a brilliant batting strike rate of 135.78.

Apart from that, he has also been a world-class wicketkeeper. The CSK skipper has taken as many as 138 catches in IPL. Besides that, he has affected as many as 21 run-outs and has affected 39 stumpings.
