Punjab Kings are now locking horns with Mumbai Indians in the 46th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being held at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Punjab Kings are sixth on the points table as they have won five games and lost the other four games, collecting 10 points. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are seventh on the table with four wins and four defeats, accumulating 8 points.

Talking about the game, Mumbai Indians won the toss and invited Punjab Kings to bat first. The Mohali-based franchise got off to a sloppy start to the game as they lost Prabhsimran Singh for just 9 runs as Arshad Khan took his wicket.

After his dismissal, skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Matthew Short added 49 runs for the second wicket before Piyush Chawla dismissed Dhawan for 30 runs (5 fours), courtesy of quick stumping by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.

On the other hand, Matthew Short was bowled by Piyush Chawla for 27 runs. He struck two fours and a six during his stay at the crease. After his departure, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma took the game away from the opposition with fearless display of batting.

England international Liam Livingstone played one heck of an inning against Mumbai Indians in the ongoing game. The right-handed batsman played quite sensibly by ticking the flow of runs when it mattered the most. He smashed a fifty off 32 balls where he struck seven fours and a six.
