“His endless masti” – Twitter reacts as MI captain Rohit Sharma clicks a selfie with fans after the match

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been literally struggling with form in the ongoing edition of the IPL. At times, he is getting off to good starts but throwing his wicket away, which has been a disappointing story so far.

On the other hand, he has been consuming too many deliveries inside the powerplay overs and getting dismissed for cheap scores. Rohit Sharma turned 36 yesterday i.e. on April 30 and there were plenty of expectations from him to deliver with the bat.

However, as it turned out, he failed miserably against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He could score just 3 runs before he was dismissed by Sandeep Sharma in the last ball of the second over.

Rajasthan Royals posted 212/7 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scored with 124 off 62 balls where he composed his innings with the help of 16 fours and 8 sixes to his name.

In reply, Mumbai Indians aced the run-chase with three balls to spare, courtesy of Tim David’s batting masterclass in the end. He scored a quickfire 45 off 14 balls where he smacked 2 fours and five hits over the fence.

Mumbai Indians won the game by six wickets. After the game, MI captain, Rohit Sharma was seen clicking a selfie to fans and the video clip of the same went viral on social media. It was such a nice gesture from Rohit Sharma to address the fans after the game.

It was a moment that the fans would cherish the moment for the rest of their lives. With this win over the Royals, Mumbai Indians have now moved to the seventh spot in the IPL 2023 points table. Having played eight games so far, they have won four games and lost the other four matches.

Mumbai Indians will cross swords with Punjab Kings in the next match on May 3 at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.
