"I am so angry, man. Sorry. I have apologised to him twice already", Mohammed Siraj comes up with apology words to Mahipal Lomror

IPL 2023: On Sunday, April 23, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, the Royal Challengers Bangalore, captained by Virat Kohli, and the defending champion Rajasthan Royals squared off in an exciting matchup. This was the 32nd game of the 2023 Indian Premier League season.

Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj was seen verbally criticizing Mahipal Lomror during the 19th over of Rajasthan’s innings. Dhruv Jurel, who was batting for Rajasthan, went for a second run on the last delivery of the over, prompting Siraj to yell obscenities at Lomror, who was fielding the ball at long-on.

After a game in which Siraj verbally attacked Lomror, the 29-year-old pacer later apologized to the southpaw. Siraj said that he had previously apologized to Lomror for the incident in a match review video uploaded to RCB’s official YouTube account.

Thanks to superb strokes from Faf du Plessis (77 runs) and Glenn Maxwell (62 runs), Royal Challengers Bangalore recorded 189 runs on the board in the first inning.

“I am so angry, man. Sorry. I have apologised to him twice already. I don’t carry the aggression off the field. It all calms down post the match,” Siraj said in the video. Furthermore, Lomror accepted the apology, saying, “It’s alright, Siraj bhai. Such small things keep happening in such big matches.”

Rajasthan scored 182 runs in reply. Yashasvi Jaiswal (52 runs) and Devdutt Padikkal (47 runs) batted resolutely after Jos Buttler‘s early departure. Dhruv Jurel made 34* off 16 balls in the last over, but it wasn’t enough, as Bangalore came back to win by seven runs.

Bangalore improved to 8 points in seven games, enough for fifth place in the IPL. The Rajasthan Royals, on the other side, have eight points after seven games and are in second place.
