Chennai Super Kings’ skipper, MS Dhoni’s presence at the crease might be short but his impact has been sensational, considering that the has been smashing sixes and boundaries in the limited deliveries he has been facing this season.

MS Dhoni scored a quickfire 14 off 7 balls in the tournament opener against Gujarat Titans. During his stay at the crease, he struck a six and a four to his name. In the second game against Lucknow Super Giants, he provided the much-needed spark in the end.

He faced only three balls and he smacked two consecutive sixes off Mark Wood’s bowling, something which the bowler didn’t even expect in the first place. CSK skipper’s back-to-back sixes lit up the Chepauk Stadium.

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants’ elite paceman, Mark Wood recalled MS Dhoni’s second six off his bowling at M Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) recently. Mark Wood pitched in with a short ball to MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, the CSK captain hammered it into the stands as the ball travelled a long way and the crowd went berserk. Mark Wood reserved the highest respect for MS Dhoni by calling the latter’s six an amazing shot.

The paceman added that he bowled exactly where skipper KL Rahul and he decided. The plan was to bowl a bouncer and get it a tad wide so that it would make things a bit tough for the CSK skipper MS Dhoni.

However, MS Dhoni braved the challenge and smashed it a long way. Mark Wood said it was indeed incredible from MS Dhoni to hit the ball that far. Having played two games, CSK lost one and won one. They will play their third game against their rivals, Mumbai Indians on April 8, Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
