Meanwhile, Australia’s best batsman has chipped in with the names of two Indian players he wishes to play in his team. They are none other than Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. While Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world across all three formats, Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best pacers in the world.

While speaking to Prime Video, Steve Smith echoed that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are the two Indian players he wishes to play in his team. Virat Kohli scored his 45th ODI century recently during the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Guwahati.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah, the death-overs specialist has been out of competitive cricket for quite a while owing to injury. He has also recovered from the injury and was expected to be back in action for Sri Lanka ODIs.

However, the BCCI decided to pull his name at the last minute as the board doesn’t want to push the pacer straightaway. Australia’s tour of India kicks off with the Test series, with the Test opener scheduled to be played on February 9 in Nagpur.
