“If you stay strong, you will be able turn things around”, Irfan Pathan comes out with his support for Yash Dayal after giving away five sixes in the last over

In the current Indian Premier League 2023 match between Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders, Rinku Singh smashed five sixes in five deliveries in the last over to help KKR win a thrilling match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat. The 25-year-old, Yash Dayal, made an early attempt to bowl yorkers, which Rinku easily dispatched all over the park. Cricketers such as Irfan Pathan and Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to offer their support and encourage the bowler to use this as a learning experience.

Irfan Pathan, who played for India in 173 international games, encouraged Dayal to keep his head up. Like forgetting a good day in order to go on to a better one, the veteran cricketer urged him to put aside his thoughts of the game versus KKR.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans scored 204 runs while batting first in their team’s allotted 20 overs. Vijay Shankar, who came in for Hardik Pandya, scored 63* runs in 24 balls while the younger Sai Sudharsan scored 53 runs off of 38. Narine took three wickets with the ball for Kolkata, but the rest of the team’s bowling performance was lacklustre. This is an area the defending champions need to improve upon right away.

However, KKR got back into the game because of the outstanding performance of Venkatesh Iyer in the second innings. The Indore native scored 83 runs off of 40 deliveries, while his middle order partner, Nitish Rana, contributed 45 runs off 29. However, Rashid Khan then altered the game’s tone with a magnificent hat trick, and when it seemed like Gujarat would cruise to victory, KKR’s Rinku Singh dominated with the bat to secure a three-wicket victory.
