"In other words, he just humiliated the whole indian team" - Twitter reacts as Marnus Labuschagne said that he told Rohit Sharma that he wants to learn playing in these conditions from the Indian team

After losing the first two tests, Australia came back to beat India by nine wickets in the third test in Indore on Friday. World No. 1 Test batsman Marnus Labuschagne provided some insight into the team’s turnaround. Australia seemed to be done for following crushing losses in Nagpur and Delhi, but the tourists rallied to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 4-Test series by winning the Indore Test by innings and nine wickets.

After Australia chased down a 76-run goal in the fourth innings on the morning of Day 2, Marnus Labuschagne contributed with 28 not out in a match-winning 78-run partnership with Travis Head (49 not out off only 53 balls).

After gaining just a 75-run advantage in the second innings, India’s chances were slim, but R Ashwin‘s early wicket of Usman Khawaja for 0 gave them some optimism. But, after starting slowly, Labuschagne and Head sped up and helped Australia win by 9 wickets.

What did Marnus Labuschagne say?

After the 2-and-a-half day, Indore Test was over, Labuschagne gave an interview in which he discussed his conversation with India captain Rohit Sharma. In it, Marnus stressed the importance of learning from one’s own mistakes and the experiences of one’s opponents when undertaking difficult overseas tours.

Marnus Labuschagne said, “I told Rohit Sharma during the match that I wanna learn how to bat on these conditions from you guys”.

On the spin-friendly wickets of Nagpur and Delhi, the Australian batting lineup threw it away and played erratically.

After posting 263 in their first innings in the Delhi Test, Australia had the chance to take the lead and set a challenging total for India. Nevertheless, the tourists’ second-inning sweeping attempt was a failure, as they were bowled out for 113 runs.

With 85 for 2, Australia seemed to be in good shape, but they promptly imploded, losing their last eight wickets for just 28 runs as Ravindra Jadeja took seven scalps in Delhi’s second innings.
