"India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan" - Javed Miandad slams BCCI over Asia Cup standpoint

Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad made the headlines after he brutally attacked the richest cricket body over their Asia Cup stance. Javed Miandad is so mad at the Board of Control for Cricket in India that he wants even the International Cricket Council to take strict action against the BCCI.

The 2022 edition of the Asia Cup tournament was held in the United Arab Emirates. Sri Lanka and Pakistan made it to the finals of the competition and in the end, Sri Lanka came out on top much to Pakistan’s annoyance.

The Sri Lankan cricket team defeated the Pakistan cricket team in the final to win their sixth Asia Cup title. The forthcoming edition of the Asia Cup tournament will be held in Pakistan in the September window this year.

It seems that BCCI is firm on its decision not to travel to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup. Despite the fact that Pakistan have the hosting rights for this year’s Asia Cup, they are unlikely to host the competition.

Javed Miandad slams BCCI over their Asia Cup standpoint

Earlier, the BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) made it clear that India will not fly to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup in 2023.

Team India and Pakistan have not locked horns with each other in a bilateral series since 2012-2013. Both teams have been playing against each other only in the ICC and ACC events owing to the escalating tensions between the two Asian countries.

While speaking at a public event, former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad said Team India can go to hell if they are not interested to come to Pakistan to play cricket. He further added that this is completely ICC’s job. He further suggested ICC to come up with the same set of rules for every team.
