The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a famous twenty-20 league, which is contested by eight teams; but from eight different Indian cities. IPL is the professional cricket league in the world and in 2014 was ranked sixth by average attendance among all sports leagues. However, the IPL 2021 will run from April 9th to May 30th across six venues with no team getting to play at home. This tournament will be held behind closed doors at least in the starting phase.
The matches will take place at 6 venues – Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata. Ahmedabad will be hosting the finals on May 30th as well as the play-offs. Awaiting IPL 2021!!! There is a total of 60 T20 matches to be played in IPL 2021. You must also know that the BCCI decided to increase the players’ limit from 4 to 5 from IPL 2021.
When is the opening ceremony of IPL 2021 ?
The opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League will take place in India on 9th April 2021. The timing of the ceremony is 7.30 PM IST.

Due to the ICC tight schedule, BCC advanced IPL 2021 to 1 week and IPL 2021 is now starting from 9 April and it will finish by 30 May. Moreover, you should know that the BCCI decided also to increase the overseas players’ limit from 4 to 5 from IPL 2021.
