How Yashasvi Jaiswal’s sixes are valued in comparison to Faf du Plessis?

In a contrasting chase for the Organe cap in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis and rising Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Yashasvi Jaiswal are in the top two spots. The former South Africa captain has led by example, amassing 466 runs, including five centuries, to top the list of most runs scorers in the lucrative tournament currently. On the other hand, the prolific young Indian opener has raced to the second spot with his first century in the lucrative tournament and three half-centuries.

Du Plessis has the highest score of 84 in the ongoing season and batted at an average of 58.25, while Jaiswal recorded the highest score of 124 and has an average of 47.55. Identically, both the openers have a strike rate of just over 159 from nine matches in the lucrative tournament, which has raised their value for the franchise.

Both the franchise has five matches left to play, where their in-form openers Du Plessis and Jaiswal will be a vital cog in the team line-up to give them a strong foundation. The Bangalore franchise will face its next test against Delhi Capitals on May 6, while the Rajasthan Royals will take on defending champions Gujarat Titans in their next match on May 5.
