Devdutt Padikkal scored 38 whereas the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Shimron Hetmyer scored 30 runs apiece. In response, Chennai Super Kings got support in the form of Devon Conway who hit 50 off 38 balls including six fours.

Ajinkya Rahane scored 31 off 19 deliveries with the help of 2 fours and a six. MS Dhoni nearly steered the team to a fantastic win but CSK fell short of the target. MS Dhoni scored 32 off 17 balls including one four and 3 sixes. Rajasthan Royals beat CSK by 3 runs at Chepauk.
