The sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League has already witnessed a plethora of drama, spice and thrill factors during the passage of the play. The cricket fraternity witnessed so many nail-biters in the history of the IPL.

As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the fans ran through a roller coaster ride of emotions. Meanwhile, the 17th game of the IPL between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals lived up to the expectations of the fans.

It was a game that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. The game was a cliffhanger right up to the final delivery. When CSK required five runs off the last ball, Sandeep Sharma cleverly kept CSK batters silent in the last delivery.

Rajasthan Royals pull off a stunning win over Chennai Super Kings

Batting first, Rajasthan Royals posted 175/8 in their quota of 20 overs. Jos Buttler top-scored with 52 off 36 balls where he composed his innings with the help of 1 four and three hits over the fence.

Devdutt Padikkal scored 38 whereas the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Shimron Hetmyer scored 30 runs apiece. In response, Chennai Super Kings got support in the form of Devon Conway who hit 50 off 38 balls including six fours.

Ajinkya Rahane scored 31 off 19 deliveries with the help of 2 fours and a six. MS Dhoni nearly steered the team to a fantastic win but CSK fell short of the target. MS Dhoni scored 32 off 17 balls including one four and 3 sixes. Rajasthan Royals beat CSK by 3 runs at Chepauk.
