“Jason Roy madness” – Twitter erupts after Jason Roy smacks a sterling fifty off 22 balls against RCB

Kolkata Knight Riders are locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 36th game of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The blockbuster clash is currently taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and invited Kolkata Knight Riders to open the face of the blade first. KKR got off to a blistering start to the game in the form of Jason Roy and N Jagadeesan.

The opening pair added a quickfire 83-run partnership before Vijaykumar Vyshak got rid of Jagadeesan for 27 runs (4 fours) in the second ball of the 10th over of KKR’s innings. On the other hand, Jason Roy provided much-needed spark in the batting unit.

England international Jason Roy got off to a spectacular start to the game by taking the RCB’s bowling attack to the cleaners. RCB bowlers literally found it tough to bowl to the batsman as the latter kept smashing boundaries and sixes with relative ease.

In the process, Jason Roy went on to score a blistering half-century off just 22 balls where he constructed his knock with the help of 4 fours and five hits over the fence. Moreover, it is also his second consecutive fifty for Jason Roy this season.

It remains to be seen how KKR will go about their business in the later stages of this innings. Obviously, they would want to post a high-scoring total such that they can go on to defend the total.
