Leroy Sane Sadio Mane Fight: Recent media coverage has focused on an alleged physical incident between football players Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane.

During Bayern Munich’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal this week, a scuffle broke out between Mane and Sane on the field. Mane reportedly punched Sane in the lips during their heated argument in the locker room, leaving a mark on the German’s face, as reported by BILD.

After their disagreement, Sane reportedly requested his teammate in English for some space. This was reported by German journalists Philipp Kessler and Manuel Bonke. It has also been reported that the ex-Manchester City player spoke with Bayern’s management about the incident and pleaded with them not to punish Mane severely.

Meanwhile, it has been reported by Mirror Football that Mane was mourning the loss of his aunt, with whom he was very close, at the time of the event.

Mane has never been shy in sharing his feelings for his loved ones. When he was 11 years old, his father passed away, leaving his mother to maintain the family on very little money.

Since his £35 million transfer from Liverpool in the summer, Mane has had an up-and-down first season at Bayern Munich. He was injured and had to sit out seven league games as well as the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. To date, he has made 32 appearances across all competitions and scored 11 times.

Taggat, a Senegalese news outlet, said on Thursday, April 13, that Sadio Mane reacted to allegations that Leroy Sane had nicknamed him “Black S**t.”

Sane has apologized for his actions and expressed his remorse. But Mane hasn’t apologized to his teammates just yet. He was punished and left out of Bayern Munich’s lineup to face 1899 Hoffenheim at home in the Bundesliga.

In a statement, the club said: “Sadio Mane, 31, will not be included in the FC Bayern squad for this Saturday’s home match against 1899 Hoffenheim. This is due to his misconduct after Bayern’s Champions League match at Manchester City. Mane will also be given a fine.”
