The two best IPL teams are meeting at the legendary Wankhede Stadium. In their 15 years of competition, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have split a staggering nine trophies.

With four championships, Super Kings are second only to the five-time champion Mumbai Indians. This is their first meeting of the season, so naturally, the mood is electric.

It’s been a huge event ever since it started, and former Indian cricket star Harbhajan Singh even compared it to an India-Pakistan match. The rivalry between CSK and MI is intense, but can it compare to the hype around an Indo-Pak match?

The team led by Rohit Sharma is aiming for their sixth crown, while CSK is attempting to tie MI. In contrast to CSK’s promising start, MI’s has been less than stellar. They lost their only game and CSK came out with a defeat and a win in their first two games.

On Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, M.S. Dhoni, captain of the Chennai Super Kings, won the toss and opted to bowl first against the Mumbai Indians in Game 12 of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Due to Ben Stokes’ injury and Moeen Ali’s illness, CSK had to make two changes to their starting lineup. Ajinkya Rahane is making his CSK debut in the IPL.

Dhoni, who is allegedly playing in his last season of IPL, expressed his delight at the prospect of playing at Wankhede, one of the most significant stadiums in his career.
