Lucknow Super Giants pulled off a stunning win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in yesterday’s night encounter at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Lucknow Super Giants led by KL Rahul won the game by 1 wicket.

It was a game that had a complete drama package including some twists and turns. Lucknow Super Giants breathe a sigh of relief after they went on to seal a thriller win over Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Lucknow Super Giants notched up their third win of this season’s IPL. Currently, they are at the top spot of the league stage points table and they will be looking forward to doing well in the upcoming games of the group stage.

Batting first, RCB posted 212/2 in 20 overs with the help of fifties from Faf du Plessis (79*), Virat Kohli (61) and Glenn Maxwell (59) respectively. In response, LSG got support in the form of Marcus Stoinis (65) and Nicholas Pooran (62).

Lucknow Super Giants’ mentor Gautam Gambhir had a memorable meeting with the former RCB captain Virat Kohli and they were seen hugging each other.

Cricket is a game of emotions and both these stalwarts were seen releasing their emotions during the game and such was the tenacity and intensity of the match. However, after the game, they were seen giving customary handshakes.

Royal Challengers Bangalore opened their account with a win over Mumbai Indians but lost to Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants in the next two games. On the other hand, LSG won against Delhi Capitals but lost to Chennai Super Kings. However, they ensured to notch up wins over the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB.
