"Mumbai Indians should create a statue for him, brought them back to the tournament", Twitter erupts as Tim David plays a gem of a knock to help Mumbai Indians get over the line against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023

Tim David, batting for MI, hit sixes on the first three deliveries of the last over as his side chased down RR’s 213-run mark in the 1,000th match in the Indian Premier League. It’s also the most runs ever scored in a successful run chase at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai during the Indian Premier League. Yashasvi Jaiswal, the opener for RR, scored 124 runs off 62 balls.

On Sunday, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the 1000th match in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was played, and the Mumbai Indians (MI) won by six wickets against the Rajasthan Royals (RR).

With the help of Camroon Green’s 26-ball 44 and Tim David’s unbeaten 45 from only 14 balls, Suryakumar Yadav led their highest-ever chase at home with 55 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, batting for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians, blasted the highest score by an uncapped Indian batsman in IPL history with 124 off 62 balls.

In the 1000th IPL game, Jaiswal shone brightest by hitting 16 fours and eight sixes at a strike rate of 200 in an inning when the next top score was only 18. He did this by balancing stability in technique with power in blows that were both traditional and inventive.

In a scintillating display of batting, he scored 41 runs off of 23 balls in the power play, 44 runs off of 25 balls in the middle overs, and 39 runs off of 14 balls in the death overs.

Jaiswal was hooking sixes off Cameron Green and Jofra Archer. Archer, on the other end, Jos Buttler was getting troubled by Archer.

After lofting Riley Meredith over mid-on in the fifth over, Jaiswal proceeded to drive past cover, slice behind point, and smack one down the ground for four more boundaries.

Sanju Samson started off the inning with a bang by hitting a six high over long-on off Chawla. He then proceeded to score four runs by scooping a decent length ball from Kumar Kartikeya Singh over fine-leg. However, his good form halted when he chipped a ball from Arshad Khan to deep mid-wicket.
