Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, but Kevin Campbell, a former striker for the Gunners, thinks that a deal like that can’t happen this summer.
Saka had his best season as an Arsenal player so far last year. He scored 11 goals and set up seven others in the Premier League. It was a big step forward.
Everyone knew he was good, but how quickly he’s become one of the best wingers in the Premier League has surprised some.
Because of this, it was inevitable that top clubs would notice how well he played at Arsenal. Liverpool and Manchester City are keeping an eye on the young English player whose contract is up in 2024.
It doesn’t look like the 20-year-old will be moving this summer, though.
Kevin Campbell told Highbury Squad that he thinks Arsenal “are not going to sell Saka in this window. “Not likely. No way,” he said.
Will Bukayo Saka move out of Arsenal for Liverpool?
Since he came through the Arsenal academy, it seems likely that Saka would prefer to stay at Arsenal for the rest of his career. However, the club’s performance on the field will have to improve if Saka wants to stay.
Saka is now a player in the Champions League. He would fit in well with either Liverpool or Manchester City.
If Arsenal wants Saka to sign a new deal, it could depend on whether or not they get into the Champions League next season.
If not, the best teams in Europe will be looking for him next summer, when his contract is up. Arsenal knows that Saka is a very valuable player, and they would much rather get a lot of money for the Englishman than let his contract run out.
Bukayo Saka won’t be leaving Arsenal just yet. After the club came close to getting into the Champions League last season, he still has things to do in north London.
But don’t rule out an exit next summer if Arsenal keeps finishing just below the UCL spots in the Premier League.
