Pro Kabaddi League is a professional kabaddi sport played in India by men. It has been 7 successful years of the kabaddi league with its viewers increasing every year along with its fanbase. The 8th season of the PKL 2021 Auction is set to begin on August 29 and 31, 2021.
The auction will be conducted in Mumbai by Mashal Sports. There is going to be the participation of 500+ players and 12 franchisees.

The auctions will be taking place for the game after a gap of two years. The players participating in the auction will be Domestic, New Young Players, and Overseas. These players will be divide into 4 groups. These groups are names as categories. There is furthermore sub-division of the categories as All-Rounders, Defenders, Raiders.

- Category D
Category A is a category that includes players bidding at the rate of Rs. 30 Lakhs. the next category B is at Rs. 20 Lakhs Category C & D are priced at Rs. 10 Lakhs and 6 Lakhs respectively.
There are 12 participating teams that will have an option to retain their players in the league. Every team can retain up to 6 players under the policy name Elite Retained Players. Under the category of New Young Players, 6 players can be retained.
