Press Release for 21st National Rope Skipping Online Championship on World Heart Day Sept 29, 2021

At the beginning of 2020, no athlete, fan, or organizer would have imagined that a match, let alone tournaments in their entirety, will be held behind closed doors (in empty stadiums and quiet atmospheres), however, the pandemic brought the sporting world to a standstill.

However, COVID-19 has also brought in a wave of challenges and opportunities for the sports sector. While several events have been canceled or postponed, technological advancements have helped generate viewership and engagement.

World Heart Day is celebrated on September 29 every year. Sports & fitness activities are great for keeping a healthy heart, body mind & soul. Under the guidance of Fit India, the Rope Skipping Federation of India is organizing the 21st National Rope Skipping Championship Online where they have received an overwhelming participation of 400 plus students across India.

The students participating are not only from various cities but also from rural areas and remote villages.
