Season eight of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 2021) will begin on December 22 in Bengaluru and will be held without spectators due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Check Pro Kabaddi 2021 Teams Squad, Full list of players of all 12 teams.
It was introduced in the year 2014 and was telecasted in Star Sports. This is the 8th season which was supposed to happen in the year 2020 but got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pro Kabaddi League’s foundation was motivated by the fame of the Kabaddi tournament at the 2006 Asian Games. The pattern of the tournament was motivated by the Indian Premier League. The league’s first season was held in 2014 with eight teams each of them were paid up to US$250,000 to join.
For the 2017 and 2018-19 seasons, the Pro Kabaddi League added four new teams and changed its pattern to divide the teams into two distributions known as zones. Shortly the league took back to its double round-robin pattern for the 2019 season.
The 2021 season’s first match will be held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad. The first match will be between the Telugu Titans Vs U Mumba. This season will have 12 teams with 132 league matches. Each team will play two matches with each other.

The defending champion of the Pro Kabaddi League is Bengal Warriors. In the 7th season, Bengal Warriors Defeated Dabang Delhi in the final stage and won the first title.
