“RCB shouldn’t always rely on KGF” – Twitter reacts after Virat Kohli gets dismissed at the wrong time for RCB in the run-chase against KKR

"RCB shouldn't always rely on KGF" - Twitter reacts after Virat Kohli gets dismissed at the wrong time for RCB in the run-chase against KKR

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s talismanic cricketer, Virat Kohli has been in scintillating form in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. He is currently the second leading run-scorer this season only behind skipper Faf du Plessis.

However, he hasn’t been able to cling on to the same momentum after scoring a half-century. Having played eight games so far this season, Virat Kohli was able to hit five fifties, which is indeed worth applauding, given his blazing form.

Virat Kohli has been leading RCB from the front since the last few games including the ongoing game against KKR at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Batting first, the Knight Riders posted 200/5 in their designated quota of 20 overs.

The likes of Jason Roy and Nitish Rana batted ever so well when it mattered the most. Jason Roy scored 56 off 29 balls including 4 fours and 5 sixes whereas Nitish Rana chipped in with 48 off 21 balls including 3 fours and 4 sixes.

RCB’s interim captain Virat Kohli once again continued his sterling form this season as he scored his fifth half-century this season. He scored 54 off 37 balls including six boundaries but failed to get going after his fifty.

He fell prey to Andre Russell’s delivery in the first ball of the 13th over as the veteran cricketer was dismissed at the wrong time. Glenn Maxwell could score 5 off 4 balls whereas Faf du Plessis scored 17 off 7 balls.
