Royal Challengers Bangalore are crossing swords with Chennai Super Kings in the 24th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited CSK to bat first. Despite losing Ruturaj Gaikwad for three runs, CSK found support in the form of Ajinkya Rahane and Devon Conway.

The duo added 74 runs for the second wicket before Wanindu Hasaranga made a mess of Rahane’s stumps. Rahane departed for 39 off 20 balls (3 fours, 2 sixes). On the other hand, Devon Conway was the pick of the batters as he scored 84 off 45 balls (6 fours, 6 sixes).

Meanwhile, Shivam Dube hogged the limelight for his quickfire half-century against RCB. The 29-year-old once again proved that he loves playing against RCB as he chipped in with a scintillating fifty off 25 balls.

Shivam Dube ended up scoring 52 off 27 balls with the help of two fours and five hits over the fence at a strike rate of 192.59 before he fell prey to Wayne Parnell’s bowling.

Shivam Dube drew plaudits for his exceptional batting display. During his stay at the crease, he smashed some humongous sixes with hits clocking 102 m and 101 m.

In the last meeting against RCB, Shivam Dube scored 95* off 46 balls in Mumbai in 2022. It was good to see Dube churning out runs for the team when it mattered the most.
