Simon Doull makes an insensitive comment on Mitchell Santner, latter gives a classy reply

Mitchell Santner is currently part of the Chennai Super Kings’ squad in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The New Zealand international is not a regular feature for CSK this season and couldn’t sneak into the playing XI in all games.

Needless to say, he has played three games for the franchise so far out of the seven games. He hasn’t been really impressive as he accounted for three dismissals in all the three games that he has played for CSK this season.

Mitchell Santner must be feeling disappointed to have not being picked for most games so far. However, he will be expecting to make a roaring comeback when he gets picked for the next game for the franchise.

Meanwhile, New Zealand commentator, Simon Doull, who is part of the commentary panel for this season’s IPL made the headlines after he passed on an insensitive remark on Mitchell Santner during the IPL.

The New Zealand cricketer spoke to Simon Doull after the game between KKR and CSK. During the conversation, Simon Doull told Mitchell Santner, “Enjoy the night and carry the drinks well.”

However, Santner came up with a classy reply by saying, “I’ll try, I’ll try”. Although it is seen as a friendly talk between these two, fans feel that Doull shouldn’t have said something like this as it could emotionally hurt the cricketer in the first place. The video clip has now gone viral on the internet.
