Sunday evening added further ambiguity to the situation with Ravindra Jadeja. A day after a viral video of a heated exchange between MS Dhoni and him at the Arun Jaitley Stadium went viral, ensuring the Chennai Super Kings’ spot in the playoffs and a top-two finish, Ravindra Jadeja posted a cryptic tweet that left fans wondering if there was trouble between him and their team’s captain. After some time had passed, the all-rounder’s wife, Rivaba Jadeja, retweeted it with a ludicrous four-word response.

Immediately after CSK’s 77-run victory against DC on Saturday, as the players celebrated making the playoffs for a record-extending 12th time in IPL history, Dhoni was overheard having an argument with Jadeja, who did not seem to be pleased. A picture of the legend’s anger at the utility player went viral on the web.

For his dismal performance with the ball against DC, in which he allowed 50 runs for one wicket in four overs, several fans believed Dhoni was criticizing Jadeja. While some speculated on a disagreement between them.

Not for the first time during the current IPL season has Jadeja done anything controversial on Twitter. At the beginning of May, Jadeja “liked” a tweet that alluded to the “pain inside” and “trauma” he could be experiencing as a result of the “criticism” of the CSK supporters.

The post had read: “Jaddu saying this with a smile but a lot of pain inside… Believe me it’s a trauma! Imagine your own team spectators not supporting you waiting for your wicket! Still criticizing you even after winning 3 man of the matches!”
