SRH vs DC Live Updates: Why Prithvi Shaw is not part of the team for the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad?

SRH vs DC Live Updates: David Warner, captain of the Delhi Capitals, has won the toss for his team’s 34th match of the current 16th season of the Indian Premier League, which is being played between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Capitals.

There have been a few lineup changes for DC since their last game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Batting wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Khan is back in the starting lineup while batting all-rounder Ripal Patel will get to play for the first time this season.

There were no changes to SRH’s starting XI from their last game. T Natarajan, a left-arm pacer, has replaced Rahul Tripathi in the starting eleven so that they may bowl first. When chasing, Tripathi will most likely come in as an impact player.

Warner did not provide an explanation for Prithvi Shaw’s benching beyond saying that Patel and Sarfaraz will be starting tonight’s game.

However, the rationale for Shaw’s absence does not need any creative thinking. Shaw has opened in all six innings for DC with Warner, but he hasn’t been hitting anywhere near his talent.

Over the course of those six innings, he scored only 47 runs (an average of 7.83) before being removed from the game before the Powerplay has even ended. Given that DC’s middle order was also struggling, it was probably becoming tough for the franchise think tank to continue giving him chances.

“We are gonna bat first. Looks like a nice surface, and has got a nice even sheen to it. If you put a good total on the board, you can defend it. It’s about being consistent. We got to start well in the first 6 with bat and ball,” remarked Warner upon winning the Toss.
