Gujarat Titans kick-started their title defence with a special win over Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The defending champions got the better of the four-time IPL champions by five wickets.

After that, they locked horns with Delhi Capitals in the second game at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Talking about the game, the Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and invited Delhi Capitals to bat first.

Delhi Capitals posted a pretty decent total of 162/8 in their quota of 20 overs. David Warner top-scored with 37 off 32 balls whereas Axar Patel scored 36 off 22 balls including two fours and three hits over the fence. On the other hand, the likes of Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan took three wickets in a row.

Gujarat Titans might not have provided the right start in the run-chase. However, Sai Sudharsan was the one who anchored the run-chase by remaining unbeaten throughout the end. The left-handed batter assessed the conditions and went about his business.

The youngster went on to score a match-winning 62 off 48 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. David Miller also played pretty well. The experienced southpaw chipped in with 31 off 16 balls including 2 fours and 2 hits over the fence.

Gujarat Titans beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets with eleven balls to spare and made it two wins in a row in IPL 2023. Gujarat Titans will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders on April 9 in Ahmedabad.
