Lucknow Super Giants are locking horns with Punjab Kings in the 38th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being staged at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali.

Punjab Kings won the toss and invited Lucknow Super Giants to bat first. KL Rahul and Co approached the game with a lot of intent and purpose as they took the bowling attack to the cleaners from the get-go.

Punjab Kings’ bowlers literally lost their momentum in the initial stages of the game and they didn’t recover since then. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants shifted gears when it mattered the most and inflicted quite a lot of damage on the Mohali-based franchise.

Earlier, Kyle Mayers scored a quickfire fifty as he accomplished the feat in just 20 deliveries. He smashed seven fours and four sixes to his name whereas Ayush Badoni scored 43 off 24 balls including three fours and three sixes.

Marcus Stoinis smashes a fifty off 31 balls against PBKS

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has been in pretty good touch with the bat in the sixteenth edition of the IPL. Apart from his bowling credentials, he has been middling the balls ever so well with fearless brand of cricket.

He kept on hammering sixes and fours at will and in the process, he hit a fifty off 31 deliveries against Punjab Kings. In the process, he went on to register his highest-ever individual score of 73 off 39 balls. He composed six fours and five sixes to his name.
