Top 10 contracts at Nottingham Forest and when do they expire

Nottingham Forest are currently in the 14th position in the English Premier League table with 24 points after playing 25 matches. They have scored 20 goals and conceded 44. The next few weeks will be crucial for them as they fight to retain their position in the top-division. Several players joined the club last summer as the Nottingham Forest went on a spending spree. Now, there are multiple contracts that need renewal as the end of the season inches closer.

Harry Arter made his last appearance for Forest in January 2021. Nottingham Forest was hopeful to reach an agreement that terminated the players contract, however the situation got complicated when they got promoted to the Premier League and the player earned an extra year on his deal, due to the promotion clause. Arter hasn’t played decent football for over a year and may not be seeing a contract extension from Forest.

Similar to Arter, Jordan Smith has not made an appearance for Forest since March 2021. He is the third-choice keeper at the club and as of 1st February he is on loan at Huddersfield Town.

Striker Lyle Taylor was not mentioned in the 25-man squad. He spent the second half of last term on loan at Birmingham City. It will be a tough decision for the club to figure out a way back for the striker back into the team and it is likely that he will not be asked to stay on with the club.
