“We’ll see how that unfolds…” – Trent Boult expresses his big desire to play in the 2023 World Cup

Playing in the ODI World Cup is every professional cricketer’s dream. The marquee tournament is played once in four years and it is absolutely imperative for the teams to field the best players in the squad such that they can give it all and make their presence count on the pitch.

During the World Cup selection, the selectors pick the players on the basis of form, fitness and experience. Taking all these factors into account, the selectors decide who is eligible and who isn’t. Sadly, even some top-tier players have missed out on playing in the major events due to injuries.

The 2023 World Cup is slated to be held entirely in India for the first time in history. It will kick off in the October-November window and it is expected to commence on October 5.
