“What a steal” – Twitter reacts to another top performance from Casemiro

There was a lot of talk regarding Brazilian international Casemiro’s transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United in the summer transfer window. Many pundits and fans believed that Casemiro had only joined the Red Devils for a payday and that United had overpaid. That discussion isn’t as common now.

He’s only in the news for his performances nowadays, and he put in another all-round midfield display in a 3-0 win over Bournemouth. Casemiro opened the scoring with an excellent volley from a Christian Eriksen free-kick before dominating the midfield for the rest of the game. He also played some excellent crosses from the right midfield area, which is a part of his game that has gone unnoticed over the years.

United have kept eight clean sheets this season, and Casemiro has been crucial to this development. Old Trafford has been crying out for a defensive midfielder for years, and they’ve now got one of the best. Manchester United fans were quick to defend their summer purchase on Twitter following his display against Bournemouth.
