Royal Challengers Bangalore have been a part of the Indian Premier League since its inaugural edition. They made countless memories in this league and at the same time, they suffered heartbreaks too.

RCB booked their berth in the IPL finals three times in their history. Unfortunately, they failed to capitalize on clutch moments and they ended up on the losing side in all three final encounters.

Moreover, RCB fans kept rooting for the franchise through thick and thin patches, which goes to show their unwavering loyalty towards the team and the players. Scores of fans turned up in numbers to witness the spectacle between RCB and MI.

Meanwhile, former Ireland cricketer, Niall O’Brien was absolutely taken aback by Royal Challengers Bangalore supporters’ craze at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The fans were delighted with the way RCB played against MI.

Notably, they went on to notch up their IPL 2023 campaign with an emphatic win. RCB got the better of MI by 8 wickets and opened their account with a remarkable win. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis anchored the run-chase by scoring runs with ease.

They tore the Mumbai Indians’ bowling unit apart by smashing sixes and fours at will. Faf du Plessis scored 73 whereas Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 82. Niall O’Brien recalled the special moment when Virat Kohli completed his half-century at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

He added that the moment Kohli brought up his 45th IPL fifty, the roar, noise and chants for the former RCB skipper were absolute goosebumps. The former Irish cricketer echoed that it is the best moment he has ever experienced in his life.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with two-time IPL champions, Kolkata Knight Riders on March 6, Thursday at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
