The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 has well and truly exceeded the expectations of the fans. As many as five teams are taking part in the ongoing tournament.

They are none other than Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals Women, Gujarat Giants, UP Warriorz and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women. Among the teams, Mumbai Indians Women have dominated the league so far.

Having played four games, they have won all four like a hot knife through butter. Thus, they became the first team to win four games on the trot in the ongoing edition of the Women’s Premier League.

Delhi Capitals Women are second on the table with four wins and one defeat whereas UP Warriorz are third on the table with two wins and two defeats. Gujarat Titans are fourth on the table with 1 win and 3 defeats whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore are last on the table with no win this season.

Harmanpreet Kaur is on a mission in WPL 2023

Harmanpreet Kaur has been in scintillating form in the inaugural edition of the WPL 2023. She led the batting attack from the front against Gujarat Women in the first game at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians Women’s captain scored 65 off 30 balls including 14 boundaries and was adjudged the player of the match. Mumbai Indians Women won the game by a massive margin of 143 runs.

During the game against UP Warriorz, she scored an unbeaten 53 off 33 balls including nine fours and a six and was named the man of the match. Mumbai Indians Women won the game by eight wickets at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians Women are locking horns with Gujarat Giants in the 12th match of the WPL at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Harmanpreet Kaur once again carried her rich vein of form by scoring 51 off 30 balls including 7 fours and 2 sixes.
