“World’s best batsman with World’s best captain” – Twitter reacts as Virat Kohli meets Ricky Ponting’s son

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is currently spicing it up in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. He represents Royal Challengers Bangalore in India’s premier T20 tournament.

The former RCB captain scored a spectacular 82 off 49 balls against Mumbai Indians at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and ended up on the winning side. Virat Kohli scored another fifty this season during the game against Lucknow Super Giants.

He is currently preparing for the team’s upcoming fixture against Delhi Capitals on April 15, Saturday at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. After that, Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings at the same venue on April 17, Monday.

Virat Kohli meets Ricky Ponting’s son

Two-time ODI World Cup-winning skipper, Ricky Ponting is currently serving as the head coach of Delhi Capitals. Under his tutelage, the team hasn’t really found a spark so far this season.

In fact, Delhi Capitals are the only team that are yet to win a game this season. Having played three games so far, Delhi Capitals lost to Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.

Meanwhile, a video clip featuring Virat Kohli, Ricky Ponting and his son has been doing the rounds on social media portals. The video begins with Ricky Ponting trying his best to convince his son to meet Virat Kohli.

However, as it turns out, his son was shy to meet India’s batting great. Virat Kohli and Ricky Ponting were seen having a friendly chat with each other for a short time.

Delhi Capitals are totally aware of their shortcomings so far. They would be looking forward to opening their account with a win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, that won’t be an easy task. RCB recently lost to Lucknow Super Giants at home in a thrilling encounter. LSG won the game by 1 wicket.
