Chennai Super Kings: Salaries, player retentions, highest-paid cricketers of IPL 2022

The Chennai Super Kings are looking forward to defending their title during IPL 2022. After a successful auction in February, when they purchased 17 players in addition to their retained four, 2.95 crores remain from their original 90 crore purse.

Retained CSK Players: Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali

The highest-paid player is Ravindra Jadeja (16 crore), followed by MS Dhoni (12 crore), both of whom were retained by CSK. Moeen Ali (8 crore) , Ambati Rayudu (6.75) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (6 crore) were are also among the top 5 earning players.

Overseas CSK Players: Maheesh Theekshana, Chris Jordan, Dwaine Pretorius, Devon Conway, Adam Milne, Mitchell Santner, Dwayne Bravo, Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali ,who was retained by CSK ahead of the auction, is the top-paid overseas player with 8 crores. Dwayne Bravo and Mitchell Santner were next on the list, bought for 4.4 crores and 3.6 crores respectively. Milne and Santner were purchased for 1.9 crores apiece.

There were a total of ten uncapped Indian players bought by CSK, eight of whom were purchased at their base price of 20 lakh. Rajvardhan Hangargekar, part of India U-19’s victorious side in the World Cup earlier this year, was bought for 1.5crores. Prashant Solanki was the next highest-paid on the list of uncapped players, his salary standing at 1.2 crores.
