"Pink ball test should be done forever", Twitter reacts to the reports that Pink ball Test is unlikely to happen in India anytime soon as the match is not lasting long

Pink Ball cricket has become pretty famous lately. We know that it is impossible to spot the classical red ball that is used in Test cricket, at night. This is why for so long, Test matches have always been played during the day. However, with the invention of the Pink ball, the Day/Night test became possible. The pink ball of Day/Night cricket has an additional lacquer which gives it extra shine, thus helping it to be seen at night. However, lately it has been complained by many Test playing nations that it is still difficult to spot the link ball at night and India is one of those nations.

Team India has lately emerged as one of the best test playing nations in the world. They had a brilliant record in the longest format of the game under their former captain Virat Kohli. However, their track record in Day/Night tests is questionable and not that great. The pitches of India are not so suitable for playing Day/Night tests and that is why under the tenure of BCCI chairman Sourav Ganguly, India played very less pink ball tests.

It is now being said that Team India are not expected to play a pink ball test anytime soon as those matches finish very fast and that, obviously, is not great for finances and profits.

The underlying reasons, many argue, is simply that India is bad in pink ball tests. Studying he Pink Ball is complicated. It skids way too much at night, even in situations where it is expected to turn. Moreover, the pink ball gets a lot of lateral movement.

On the contrary, however, England have been highly successful in Pink Ball cricket and they are expected to play such test matches more and more with time.
