Chelsea is currently struggling in the 10th position in the English Premier League with a total of 34 points.
N’Golo Kante has endured a tough season as a hamstring injury has kept him on the sidelines since August. Only a few months are left on his existing contract as the club and the player are in talks for a 3-year extension that could keep him at the club till 2026. Negotiations are ongoing, but the Frenchman’s place in the team has not been set in stone. Barcelona and Al-Nassr are keen on signing the 31-year-old, but the Blues are awaiting for a response from Kante.
Not all negotiations are going in the same direction as Chelsea are contemplating the sale of Christian Pulisic before his contract expires in 2024. Reports claim that there has not been any initiation from the club to keep the player in the team. Pulisic has shown interest in other clubs within the EPL like Manchester United and Newcastle United. Only time will tell the Chelsea faithful about the winger’s fate post his contract expiration.
Manchester City are reportedly considering to capitalise on the uncertainty around Mateo Kovacic’s future at Chelsea. The club is looking at two major signings and Mateo Kovacic is one of them. His contract is due to expire in 2024 and talks have not been initiated with regard to his extended stay in the club.
